Fall Counting

In September and October we mainly focus on Sorting by color.  This really helps us get ready to pattern by color.

S1a Physical Science Concepts

Sorting

The children learned how to sort the leaves into the different plates by color.  The shapes were all the same.
Throughout October and November we begin focusing mainly on
M1 Arithmetic and Number Concepts

One to One Correspondence

Using pictures of trees without leaves, the children counted out the appropriate number of leaves by looking at the number under the tree.
Nut and Feather Counting

This is another example of how the children develop their one to one correspondence. Using a variety of nuts and feathers, in the fall develops and enhances this one to one correspondence skill.
